Shobita Parthasarathy is Assistant Professor and Codirector of the Science, Technology, and Public Policy Program at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. Professor Parthasarathy will be speaking from her. John Bahcall Public Policy Fellowship. The John Bahcall Public Policy Fellowship was created in 2006 to provide an opportunity for early career astronomers to gain experience in the world of science policy and serves to augment the policy advocacy programs of the society. The Center for Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at the Humphrey School focuses on public issues arising at the intersection of science, technology, environment, and society that shape economic development, environmental sustainability, human health, and well-being.

Technology and Policy Program The Master of Science in Technology and Policy is an engineering research degree with a strong focus on the role of technology in policy formulation, analysis, and evaluation. The STPP program is devoted to interdisciplinary research and teaching on the politics and processes of science and technology policymaking, through graduate certificate and postdoctoral fellowship programs as well as seminars and conferences. And they will need to be adept at working with policy makers and other stakeholders in the public and private sector. In the Master of Science and Technology Policy program (MSTP), we uniquely prepare our graduates to build a better future for everyone.
