The left side of the binoculars next to the eyepiece bears the markings 'ddx KF'. 'ddx' is the German wartime three-letter code indicating their manufacture at the Voigtlander & Sohne factory in Braunschweig, Germany. 'KF' is an abbreviation for 'Kältefest' meaning cold-resistant, indicating the binoculars were treated with a cold-resistant grease (Invarol). The right side shows the name 'Dienstglas' and 6x30 beneath. Under that is the serial number '104219'. Finally, 'H/6400' indicates the binoculars come with a rangefinding reticle incremented in mils. The binoculars function well and produce a clear image. The rangefinding reticle is clearly visible, it shows a range from 40 to 0 to 40. The strap on the binoculars is broken in the middle; no strap present on the case.Condition:Used, Condition:Outside paint is worn, strap broken. Case intact.
