Method 1: Windows Media player troubleshooter
I would suggest you to run the Windows Media player settings and the Windows Media library troubleshooter and check.
Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Media player. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Media player.
Refer these steps:
- Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
- Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
- Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
- Run all the Windows Media Player troubleshooters
If the issue persist, I would suggest you to place the computer in a clean boot state and then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a 'clean boot.' A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
